March 19 — The Juvenile Training Immersion Program is postponed.

The Juvenile Training Immersion Program has been postponed until fall. The small group in-person meeting format is key component of the training. Livestreaming the training would not produce the same results.

We will let you know when the training has been rescheduled.

March 18 Update
OCDLA will be formally providing Agate Beach written notice to cancel the Annual Juvenile Law Conference scheduled for April 24-25, 2020 and the Juvenile Training Immersion Program scheduled for April 23-24. 

When the written notice goes in today the conference and the hotel room block will be canceled without penalty to OCDLA.

If You Want to Keep Your Room Reservation
You may keep your room reservation. However, to do so, you need to call the Sales Office at the Agate Beach Inn at this phone number, 541-574-2205, and advise them that you have a room reservation, that OCDLA is forced to cancel our conference because of COVID-19, but that you would like to keep your room reservation at the conference rate. the earlier the better, as it will be easier for them to make special requests.

The Training
Our hope is to provide the Juvenile Training Immersion Program on April 23 and 24 via live-streaming, but we will know more tomorrow as we work out the details. So please stay tuned for further updates.

On March 16 Gov. Kate Brown banned gatherings of more than 25 people. We are not sure yet what this means for the Juvenile Training Immersion Program.


Executive Director Shaun McCrea is in the process of communicating with the Agate Beach Inn about all of the implications, including whether we can still have the hotel room block. Please check back for updates.

A special invitation-only delinquency training that involves large and small group work, plus interactive exercises led by inspiring trainers —

$125 registration (no online registration).

Limited space
one lawyer from each Judicial District will be selected. If you would like to attend, contact your contract administrator and send an email to tmay@ocdla.org. You must also register for the Annual Juvenile Law Conference. Deadline to register: April 10, 2020.
